DMA’S Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This privacy policy is issued jointly by:

  • DMA’S MUSIC PTY LTD (ABN 54 605 658 900)
  • DMA’S TOURING PTY LTD (ABN 63 605 677 192)
  • DMA’S TOURING LTD (UK company number 12394662)

referred to in this policy as “DMA’S”, “we”, “us” or “our”. Depending on where you are located and which of our activities you engage with (for example a merch purchase, a ticket, or our mailing list), one or more of these entities is the controller of your personal information.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. You can raise any privacy matter using the contact details above.

2. The law we comply with

We handle your personal information in line with:

  • the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which apply to our Australian operations; and
  • the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), which apply where we offer goods or services to, or monitor, individuals in the United Kingdom.

In this policy, “personal information” and “personal data” mean the same thing: information about an identified or identifiable individual.

3. The personal information we collect

We may collect and hold the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity data: your name, and where relevant your date of birth (for example for age-restricted events or competitions)
  • Contact data: email address, postal address and phone number
  • Transaction data: payment details and purchase history (for example merchandise and ticket orders)
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and cookie data
  • Marketing data: your communication preferences and opt-in status

We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic data). Please do not send us sensitive information unless we specifically ask for it.

4. How we collect your information

We collect personal information when you:

  • sign up to our mailing list through a form on our website
  • sign up to our mailing list in person at gigs and events
  • buy tickets to our shows (where you opt in to hear from us)
  • buy merchandise from us (where you opt in to hear from us)
  • contact us by email or post
  • interact with our website through cookies and similar technologies

We may also receive information from third parties such as our ticketing partners, e-commerce and merch providers, and analytics providers.

5. Why we use your information and our lawful basis

We only use your personal information where the law allows. The bases we rely on are:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, our interests are operating and improving our website and protecting it against fraud and misuse, and we have assessed that these interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe options described below or by contacting us.

6. Marketing communications

We send marketing about DMA’S (news, releases, tour dates and offers) by email and text only to people who have opted in. You can opt out at any time:

  • by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails; or
  • by replying STOP to any of our text messages; or
  • by contacting us at dmas@frndsmgmt.com.

We action opt-outs promptly. Opting out of marketing does not affect any service messages we need to send you about an order you have placed.

7. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only where necessary, with:

  • Our management and record label, namely FRNDS MGMT PTY and Sony Music, where relevant to our activities
  • Regulators and authorities where we are required to do so by law
  • Service providers who help operate our website, mailing list and any ticket or merch sales, including our analytics provider, Google Analytics and Mailchimp, and Laylo.

We require these third parties to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we have agreed. We do not sell your personal information.

8. Overseas and cross-border transfers

Because we operate in both Australia and the United Kingdom and use service providers based in different countries, your personal information may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the one you live in, including transfers between our Australian and UK entities.

  • For individuals in Australia: where we disclose your information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
  • For individuals in the UK: where we transfer your information outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards (such as the International Data Transfer Agreement) to ensure a similar level of protection.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it, including legal, tax and accounting requirements:

  • Mailing list data: until you withdraw consent (unsubscribe) or ask us to delete it
  • Order and transaction records: for as long as we are required to keep them to meet our tax and accounting obligations
  • Website / analytics data: for a limited period only

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.

10. How we keep your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including [access controls, secure hosting, encryption in transit, and limiting access to those who need it]. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires (the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Australia, and the ICO in the UK).

11. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • withdraw consent to marketing at any time
  • opt out of direct marketing

If you are in the UK, you also have rights to erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and rights relating to automated decision-making, in the circumstances set out in the UK GDPR.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dmas@frndsmgmt.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within one month for UK requests. There is normally no charge.

12. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies allow the site to function, and analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so that we can improve it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies and manage your preferences through our cookie banner.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at dmas@frndsmgmt.com so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond without undue delay.
